I am a huge animal lover and recently began learning about animal totems and animal spirit guides. They are our guides and teach us. We all see animals and insects all the time. The difference in seeing an animal guide (or insect), is that you will see it in a peculiar place or it will come 3 or more days in a row. This does not have to be the actual animal, it can be a photo, come up in conversation, be seen on the TV, etc. It will be ‘out of the ordinary’.
I have a sliding glass door from my living room to my back yard, which stays open 99% of the time. This June bug has come to my door and flying IN the house for about 4 days now. I started saying hello to him and keep my dogs from eating him. They love to chase him especially when he is flying in the house and making noise with his wings. How do I know it is the same June bug? I only see one everyday about the same time. A good book to check out is Animal Spirit Guides by Dr. Steven D. Farmer.
S. Farmer is the husband of Doreen Virtue, a spiritual doctor of psychology and a fourth-generation metaphysician who works with the angelic, elemental, and ascended-master realms.
Update: Recommend Animal Speak by Ted Andrews; a popular metaphysical and spiritual author, teacher, and lecturer. He is certified in basic hypnosis and acupressure. Ted is a clairvoyant and works with past-life analysis, dreams, numerology and more.
Spirits of the Earth by Bobby Lake-Thom (Medicine Grizzly Bear); a healer who has been schooled in both Western and Native American traditions. Of Karuk, Seneca, and Cherokee descent, he has taught and lectured across the US for more than 3 decades. Medicine Grizzly Bear sought to pass on his wisdom and experience from Native American medicine men, or shamans, to preserve ancient knowledge.
Although there is naturally a great attraction to spiritual matters, June Bug/Beetle will show how to balance and remain grounded. His wisdom teaches to navigate what is hidden in the sub/unconscious realms. Pay attention to nocturnal activities: dream time, journeys, and moments of waking, along with meditational impressions. Expect emotions to come to the surface as well as being emotionally tested in order to clean and clear the way for new and better things. Mental, spiritual, emotional movement appears in sets of 3. Pay attention to synchronicities. He demonstrates exterior strength and fortitude and the use of a tough outer shell when needed. June Bug/Beetle demonstrates a higher intuition connection and a keen sense of discernment in all areas. He will show how to dig for answers to reveal the truths you need. He shows how to move with a sharp sense of timing. His medicine represents opportunities to recycle, reinvent and repurpose what you have, know, think and act. This self-reinvention may include participating in larger groups to expand knowledge and awareness. A balanced diet includes plenty of fruits, vegetables and grains. May or June is a significant indicator of events. The time period for June Bug/Beetle has various stages. Take notice of circumstances, dreams, wishes and encounters that may happen within the next two to five days. In 3 to 4 weeks lessons will be coming to swift manifestation. Be ready. In the last two to three years, have you been inspired to do something, have unfinished projects or endeavors that have been delayed? He will show how to progress forward as it is time to emerge.
How This Relates to Me
I started practicing Reiki (ray-kee) three years ago and have been on a spiritual journey since. I thirst for knowledge about everything metaphysical. Usui Reiki is a Japanese system of healing using universal energy. Different types of Reiki has developed over the years, but Reiki has been around since the beginning of time, the beginning of life force energy. I started a dream journal about 6 weeks ago and pay more attention to my dreams and meanings. I am working on developing my intuition, animal communication and connecting with my inner higher self. I encourage everyone to pay more attention to your everyday life. You could be missing an important life lesson. Take time to just ‘be’, connect with Mother Earth, nature and relax, or my word ‘chillax’. I know this is easier said than done, especially if you are busy 10-12 hours a day. I am a single parent and know how hard and challenging life can be. Step one, open your heart !Blessings to all!
