Inner Peace to World Peace

UPLIFT presents ‘Inner Peace to World Peace’.       http://upliftconnect.com/

Our thoughts create our reality. If we are constantly thinking negative thoughts about our life, other people or our country that’s what we are sending out to the universe. If we think positive good thoughts then this can change the reality of our whole planet…peace!

Dr. Emoto proved scientifically that our words can change the molecular structure of water. He observed beautiful crystals after giving good words, playing good music, and showing, playing, or offering pure prayer to water. On the other hand, he observed disfigured crystals in the opposite situation.  —http://www.masaru-emoto.net/english/water-crystal.html

International Day of Yoga

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Yoga Day initiative, featuring public yoga demonstration by 35,000 citizens, is aimed at improving health and mental habits of population. He quietly took his place before a sea of schoolchildren and others, mats neatly arranged in a checkerboard as far as the eye could see, to begin what was billed as the largest yoga demonstration in a single venue in history.

“I believe that from the 21st of June, through the International Day of Yoga, it is not just the beginning of a day but the beginning of a new age through which we will achieve greater heights of peace, good will and train the human spirit,” Mr. Modi said in his speech.

The government made no effort to play down its message of the healing power of yoga. In an event later Sunday, Mr. Modi mentioned diseases like diabetes and hypertension, and drug addiction in India, adding that “practicing yoga helps combat stress and chronic conditions.”

“Since ancient times India was the guru of the world,” said Vikash Chandra, a lawyer who has been practicing yoga since 1992. Yoga Day in Delhi, which was captured by more than 24 state-run TV cameras and broadcast all over the nation, would help them reclaim it, he said.

Peace, Love, and Harmony

Thoughts and actions ripple through out the universe like a pebble in water. When I was first attuned to Reiki, I had a vision of a pebble being dropped into water and saw ripple after ripple. This is before I ever heard of thoughts spreading out to the universe. I had no idea what it meant at the time.

While He’s Away: A Poem About Being Gone

Reblogged from Jason B. Ladd

My dad served two tours in Vietnam when I was a kid, so I can relate to this poem. I do respect and bless our troops. My daughter is a Navy Chief. I am for peace and against war. There cannot be peace while we fight and kill each other! Bless those that have lost their lives, lost their family and made sacrifices.

While He’s Away: A Poem About Being Gone

when he's away deployment

While I’m away

The mission’s first

We’ll put our best against their worst

But victory will fail to quench my thirst

While I’m away

while hes away deployment

 –

While I’m away

The silence settles in

The mood is calm, the air is thin

My kingdom for one morn’ of childrens’ din

While I’m away

when he's away deployment

 –

While I’m away

Diminished dawns

The flock is far, the shepherd gone

The sheep will grow and graze and carry on

While I’m away

when he's away deployment

While I’m away

Fools worship golden cows

With laps aflame and loins aroused

Let God protect our covenant of sacred vows

While I’m away

when he's away deployment

While you’re away

I start a new routine

The laundry’s neat, the house is clean

But soon I miss the manly mess unseen

While you’re away

while hes away deployment

While you’re away

Our things break down

With no one to repair around

In projects left undone our lair abounds

While you’re away

when he's away deployment

While you’re away

The evil freaks

Through sudden cricks and eerie creaks

Our settling house at nighttime speaks, I’m scared

While you’re away

when he's away deployment

While you’re away

It’s not the same

I’m thankful for the few who came

To help me play this sacrificial game

While you’re away

when he's away deployment

While he’s away

I’m turning ten

This milestone never comes again

I understand, but struggle now and then

While he’s away

when hes away deployment

While he’s away

I run the bases

Looking in the stands for faces

Sad to see the empty spaces left

While he’s away

when hes away deployment

While he’s away

I lose my teeth

And sleep with them at night beneath

The pillow where I cry myself to sleep

While he’s away

when hes away deployment

While he’s away

It makes me sad

Sometimes I’m a little mad

How come others get to have my dad

While he’s away?

when he's away worried

While  he’s away

I’ll start to walk

And look up for my daddy’s gawk

But nowhere will I find his eyes to lock

While he’s away

when hes away deployment

While I’m away

Their father’s not around

I’ve taught them though, one comfort sound

Another Father always keeps them found

While I’m away

Bloggers For Peace

I joined Bloggers 4 Peace. I write about love and peace anyway, why not spread the word. Yes, I am stuck in the 60’s, thank goodness it has come back. 🙂 The hippie vans, VW’s, psychedelic colors and John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ (’71) and ‘Give a Peace a Chance’ still ring true. Below are the details how you can join Bloggers 4 Peace and share in a peace post.

How to Join Bloggers 4 Peace

  • Devote at least one post a month to/for/about peace. If you write poems or fiction, write a piece about peace. If you take photos, post a photo or gallery that reflects, symbolizes, defines, or creates peace. If you write rants, rant at something that disturbs the peace or rant about something that promotes peace. If you are into zen, post a blank white page. If you are an artist…you get the idea. Feel free to be creative. Peace has no boundaries. There are no mistakes.
  • Put a “Bloggers for Peace” badge on your blog. Put it anywhere on your blog–in the post, on your “about” page, as an image widget on your menu bar (feel free to link the badge to this page with “click here to join”), on your “awards” page, on your avatar page, or get a tattoo on your chest.forpeace6
  • Link your post to at least one other post from a different Blogger for Peace. Hopefully, this will create a symbiotic synergy that will inspire others to create art/poetry/prose/photos/love on their posts about peace. You might also want to add the tag “B4Peace” to your post. This will also be a great way to get to know other Bloggers for Peace. I envision a virtual circle of us all holding hands in solidarity for peace.
  • Put instructions on your post for others to join the group or link back to this post. This will help grow the movement. Can you imagine if we get enough bloggers to join so we can have a post on peace everyday? Imagine the impact we could make if everyday the internet would have some new creativity/energy/emotion/positive vibration about peace. Imagine if we linked all these posts together to create a web of peace and positive energy. “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one…”

If you tag your post “B4Peace,” Everyday Gurus will be scanning the posts and re-blogging posts on Everyday Gurus.

Please feel free to share this idea with anyone and everyone.

If anyone wants to tweet about this,  @everydaygurus. For tweets and instagram let’s use the hashtag–#B4Peace. I like the puns on “BE for Peace” and “Before Peace.”

We created a Bloggers for Peace Facebook Page. Come check us out.
